Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide mealtime assistance, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.
• Administer medication reminders and document medication administration accurately.
• Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Uphold resident rights and confidentiality.

Expectations

• Demonstrate compassion, patience, and empathy in all interactions with residents.
• Attend mandatory training and in-service sessions.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude and adhere to ethical practices and all legal requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

• *Current CNA certification in Virginia.
• *High school diploma or equivalent.
• *Experience working with seniors preferred.
• *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• *Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
